Covered Bridge Stables 220 Covered Bridge Road N Felton, CA Description : This site is a private barn. While outside horses are not allowed, we do have a couple horses that can be used at the discretion of the owner for lessons during the practice. There is no fee for this service. SCA members and non members are welcome to come. This site is kid friendly with several areas for children to play. There is a kid park about 5 minutes walk away through the historic covered bridge. Bring a bag lunch and learn about medieval horsemanship, equipment and horseback riding. There are horses on site available for lease. Loaner Equipment Available |
Santa Cruz County Horsemen Association 1145 Graham Hill Road Santa Cruz, CA Description : We are in our second year working with the SCCHA. We have use of their beautiful arena exclusively from 12pm to 5pm. We can ride on the x-country course and use the round pen as needed. We do not recommend kids at this site, through they are welcome with parental control at all times. Bring a bag lunch and learn about medieval horsemanship, equipment and horseback riding. There are no rental horses. Overnight camping is available, please contact Zinaida to arrange. We will be focused on game skills, mounted archery and hunt skills. San Bentio County Fairgrounds 9000 Airline Hwy Tres Pinos, CA Description : We are currently developing a relationship with the Fairgrounds to allow us to do Mounted Archery in a open area in the north part of the fairgrounds. This area is open. We will also be doing foot archery practice at the same site on these days. The focus of these practices will be mounted archery and medieval hunting skills ( spear, javelin). SCA members and non members are welcome to come. This site is kid friendly with several areas for children to play.
