Horse Training - Handy Horses
I do provide colt starting and problem solving for your horse. I like to call this horse handling, or creating a handy
horse.
Problem Solving examples:
Hard to saddle or bridle
Trailer Loading
Transitions
Spooky or unsure horses
Horse runs over me, strikes me, bites, rears.
Wont stand for the farrier, farrier refuses to work
Wont tie out
Lessons : I provide 1:1 instruction in riding basics. There is no "discipline" involved (western/english) but we do use
western gear. Focus is on how to help support your horse through riding with feel. Snaffle bit only.
Overcoming Fear : I provide 1:1 instruction on my horses learning to trust the horse and yourself. More often I hear
riders talk about major accidents with their horses that have built a situation where they feel insecure riding. I can
provide instruction on my horses to help build confidence through specific riding techniques.
Problem Solving : $50 hr - Santa Cruz Area, $60 hr Greater Bay Area
Riding lessons w/my horse : $60 hr - Felton Only
Riding lesson w/your horse : $40 hr - Santa Cruz Area, $50 hr Greater Bay Area
